Married at First Sight’s Al Perkins has addressed claims he had a ‘secret girlfriend’ before starring on the show, despite saying he’d ‘never been in a relationship’.
Rumours that Al could have been lying about a past romance emerged this week, after it was revealed a woman called Maddy had shared loved-up photos with the Bondi party boy last year.
But speaking on Hit Breakfast with Allan & Carly on Tuesday, Al, 25, confessed the PDA-filled photographs showed nothing more than a brief fling.

‘We met up probably about four times last year, and then she moved overseas and we stopped talking,’ he said in an interview alongside his ‘wife’ Samantha Moitzi.
‘Yeah, we got a little photo together so that’s come out – that was a talking point.’
Host Carly Portch asked: ‘Were you together?’ to which Al responded: ‘I guess I’m pretty lovey-dovey, but nah, it was never official. She’s a cool chick.’
Al, who is the experiment’s youngest groom, made the claim before walking down the aisle with Samantha on Sunday.

The post, which has since been deleted, was shared to the dancer’s Instagram account in June – just one month before he walked down the aisle with fashion brand manager Samantha.
In addition to his claim he has never had a girlfriend, Al revealed he has never been in love or felt heartbreak.
